About
I studied photography at Manchester College of Art on a 3 year full time Photographic Course. I had a jumble of jobs on leaving college until eventually I was fortunate enough to be appointed as staff photographer for the Peak District National Park. With a passion for the countryside and conservation, it was something of a dream job and a post I held for 27 years. Working for the National Park was a great opportunity to have my work displayed in several exhibitions, publications and books including 'A Park For All Seasons' with the late Brian Redhead and 'Time Exposure', which explored the changing nature of the landscape through photography.
I am retired now but still take photographs around and about my home village of Warsash on the South Coast and this website features some of these photos together with a sample of my work from my time in the Peak District.
Whilst all of the photographs on this website have been taken by myself, a few of the Peak District ones will be the copyright of the National Park and consequently this website is purely for display purposes only rather than commercial.
